L81 1

Description

The TG-DSC LINSEIS L81-I (simultaneous thermal analysis) can be used to determine simultaneous changes of mass Thermogravimetry (TG) and caloric reactions Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) of a sample in the temperature range RT up to 1750°C. The model L81 Research Balance is a well proofed Thermal Balance, which is built up very robust. The balance can handle large sample sizes of 25 gram / 3 ml sample volume. This balance series can be used for many different furnace types from low temperatures -150°C up to +2400°C.

Cement

The main parts of cement are tri calcium silicate, di calcium silicate and tri calcium aluminates. After putting on the cement with water different hydrates slowly form. The absorbed water evaporates first, then hydrates of the calcium silicate decompose and at 570°C the hydroxides of calcium, magnesium and aluminum follow. Subsequently, calcium carbonate CO2 splits off.
